Having just finished delivering a presentation entitled ‘Master Your Metabolism’ I felt the urge to write.
The presentation ended with a discussion on ‘being engaged with your health’. One of the audience actually brought this up commenting that she had realised, as a result of the presentation, that she was not engaged in her health….at all. She wasn’t really in tune with her body, she wasn’t aware of what made her feel good and what made her feel bad. She was going through the motions. She was lacking clarity, direction and purpose. We went on to discuss the importance of being present, of being engaged in your health and quite frankly getting serious about health (while still having plenty of fun in the process!).
So the time has come people, to get serious.
Let’s get serious about our health. Let’s get serious about our wellbeing. Let’s get serious about our fitness. Don’t be the 50, 60, 70 year old who is paying the price of a living a sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle.
I am in this industry because I genuinely care about people’s health. I genuinely care about my clients and I want to look back on my life and feel I have made a difference in peoples lives.
How can I achieve this? Well it is going to start with group programmes at our facility in Weybridge, Prime Health.
I am in the process of putting together packages where people with similar goals – be it going through a detox or looking to improve their energy levels – can come together, support each other and go through the whole process together.
These programmes will include presentations, Q & A sessions, e-mail/skype/phone support, diet plans and advice in regards to exercise and mindset. I hope to bring in guest speakers on specific topics to ensure these programmes are of the highest quality possible.
Not only is this a more financially accessible option for people but the community, that I hope will be formed by these programmes, will encourage others to join the health revolution, to get serious about their health. It will help participants through the harder times and new friendships will be formed.
I mentioned in my last post the importance of a community when aiming to achieve great things. That is what this is about – getting like minded people together to ensure we succeed in achieving great things.
I want to start a revolution in health. Who will join me?
